Rare Hairless Bunny Born in Countryside Farm — Locals Nickname It “Master Tuánfēng” (团风)

A small countryside farm in southern China has become an unexpected sensation after the birth of a rare, nearly hairless baby rabbit — a creature locals say resembles an old kung fu master deep in meditation.
The pink, wrinkled bunny, born just yesterday, has already been affectionately named Master Tuánfēng (团风), meaning “whirling wind.” The name was chosen by the farmer’s family, who said the newborn’s calm expression and white whiskers gave it the look of a wise sage “ready to teach the way of inner peace.”
Photos of the bunny sitting serenely on a wooden stump have gone viral on Chinese social media, with commenters calling it “the reincarnation of a martial arts master” and joking that it looks like it’s “pondering the meaning of the universe.”
Veterinarians explain that the bunny’s unusual appearance is likely due to a rare genetic condition that temporarily delays fur growth. Despite its unique look, the newborn is reportedly healthy and active.
The farmer, surnamed Liu, said he plans to raise Master Tuánfēng with care and “let him grow into his wisdom.” For now, the little bunny continues to draw visitors and admirers — a tiny, peaceful figure that somehow embodies the quiet spirit of an ancient kung fu legend.
